Imam Abu Jaafar at-Thabari, may Allah have mercy on him, is the only well-known reference in study of interpretation bil Ma'tsur because his ability to interpret Qur'an, guided mainly by good narrations prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), sahaba (may pleased with tabiin, and tabi' so that scholars from generations made at-Thabari supreme teacher Mufassir. This qualitative research seeks better understand at-Thabari's thoughts conducting library collecting data various literatures. The results prove book, Jami` al-Bayan: Verses Qur’an Interpretation, can a major foothold development Al-Qur'an throughout world. In terms method, he prioritizes ma'tsur it more postulated precise uncovering secrets contents Qur'an. It guide solving problems for people.
